I really liked the Boga ang thought they did a great job with the CGI... but you are right that sound was terribly annoying.... and it just wouldnt shut up.. it was squealing the entire time it was on screen

Boga sound... I knew the ANH one changed, didn't actually think it was THE Boga. Good planning for continuality, I guess. Boga could've been improved I think in the movie... but eh, can't have your cake and eat it. Whatever that means.
i loved the sound that it made. and although both the boga, and the sound obi wan makes are both a kind of "whoooooop" sound... i dont think its the same "call" or same animal noise or whatever.... cause, why would that scare the sand people? do they know of utapau and how there are bogas? do they travel all over the galaxy? and why would they ybe scared anyway of that? if it was in fact a boga scream...
I noticed straight away in the cinema but then i remembered from the novals that the sound was that of a kryt dragon (the skeleton we see in the background on tatooine in ANH?)
I never noticed the change on the DVD at the time though! cool!
I just did a direct comparison of the Boga sound from Episode 3 and the Kenobi call from Episode 4, and, at least to my ear, they don't sound similar enough to support my earlier theory.
Ah well, back to being annoyed about the DVD change...

Well, similar, but not really the same. And not similar enough for my ears...
But I'm reserving final judgment until I hear an official statement by Lucas or Ben Burtt about it.
Nice one sixoftwelve. I never realised they had changed that part until now. Did the change take place on the original special edition or the DVD version? It has to be boga.
