Well i only posted selected pages to show Morlun's feats.... the draining was mentioned a few times over a few fights.... and the fact that Ezekiel gave him a bloody nose with a single punch points towards the energy absorbing factor from totem sources (such as Spider-Man)
Yeah, that was stupid how the Black Cat was kicking the Lizard's ass, even if she was made more bestial or whatever. He's fast and strong enough to rip out her throat without much trouble.
Also, after he got his speed and spider-sense upgrade, he still wasn't able to dodge some attacks in the latest Amazing Spider-Man. He was fighting Titanium Man (I think) and was on his back. Titanium Man then smashed his back into a wall, with Spidey still on it. He totally should've been able to get out of the way in time.

i understand those were only a few, but i have both arcs he appeared in. true ezekiel bloodied his nose, but wasn't ezekiel ALSO empowered by the totem energy? can't recall off-hand. and i don't believe there was an actual mention of morlun draining spidey as he went along in either of the battles. i think the idea of him NOT being cl100 was from a handbook somewhere. still, i'm not sure i buy that. handbooks are notoriously inaccurate.
And Scoob's posts earlier detailing everything Morlun goes through is very telling. This whole "He's not class 100 because he drains Spidey" never held much water with me. The dude gives Spidey a ridiculously hard fight, draining or not, and his durability is at least on par with most Cl100's. Hell, I'd wager Iron man would get taken out by what Morlun went through...point blank for a building-destroying explosion (in a kitchen) and comes out without a scratch...and that's among other things. Durability doesn't = Strength....I know that. But it's something.
And even if IM wouldn't go down, it's still a helluva display.
Also keep in mind the "He punched me harder than anyone ever before" came on pretty much the first punch. That's a hell of a lot of draining to occur to make a class 50 seem stronger than the Hulk. And my interpretation: he actually IS low-level Cl 100.
I should just post that whole freaking fight...I'll get around to it soon I guess.
Well Mark I've always read that he's class 75, just hits like he's 100 because of the draining.
Endurance could be a whole nother story. There's no way Speedball could hurt the Hulk but likewise it's really difficult to hurt him. (Of course that's not really durability, but hey.)
If he fought a real class 100, he'd get scrambled. I'd like to see him try to do the same thing to Venom. He'd get his mystical brains eaten. He'd rock the hell out of Doc Ock or Osbourne though.
I never said I was siding with Scoob. I was merely using his scans to make the opposite point. Spidey's about the only character I'd try that risky debate tactic with though.
Anyway, like I said earlier....
...though, admittedly, most of his feats in the fight were durability rather than strength. That also assumes that we're taking Parker for his word in the narration, which isn't exactly canon.

so, you're agreeing with me . . .
hey, all's i'm saying is if you're tired of hanging with that guy who's always disagreeing with you and stirring up the authority pot, there will always be a home for you in the jla . . .
(can i get a cool sig now????)
oh, and i think morluncould handle pretty well any of spidey's villains. aside from ezekiel's (still inexplicable) punch, and appeared completely invulnerable. it seems likely to me that he COULD drain the symbiotes.
We need someone to keep us on our toes. No good group ever completely gets along, right? Besides, I still like Scoob, even if he's wrong whenever he disagrees with me.
...only if you come join us, my friend.

Unless, of course, if you want to wear this one... (please log in to view the image)
...I'd switch QF's name for yours, of course. That was just testing out fonts and such.
