Right now, Hulk. You can see him shape up as a leader with his new intelligence in Planet Hulk.

Nightwing and Cap also have crap that occurs in their life. Don't see how that has any bearing on their ability to work in the field.
Also for leaders I gotta point out Aquaman and Hawkman.
Current Atom isn't a kid. Isn't he a professor?
Yeah but Dick and Cap are so hardcore that they're steve irwin hardore.Well Aquaman is a king so he's not an unlikly leader and neither is Hawkman because he led the JSA a couple times.I'd say Iceman. He's been around forever and knos pretty much everyone.

If only they ever let him mature
You can only stay a "kid" for so long. I would love to see them toughen Iceman up a little.

ya wolverine is a good leader and maybe one day he will lead a team for a lobng period of time
He led alpha flight
he led the x-men, but both cases were only for a few months.
He has shown to be able to train other and motivate people to do better in combat.
he been a good under ground leader to bad he was not in civil war main story lines.
His trianer in the ninja and military would come in real handed for lead stealth teams.
also he seems to be able to ease other's and inspiring them by his deeds in battle. he reminds me of Bruenor Battlehammer

If Spider-man got a bit more self-confident in his abilities and personality, which I think is very likely now that he's revealed his identity and with the impending "Sniper" crisis, he would make a steadfast leader.

The X-Men are full of leaders...I guess a good leader would depend on personal preference.
Most Recognized Leaders of The X-Men
Cyclops
Xavier
Storm
Magneto
Not so recognized:
Jamie or Layla...it's hard...Layla's pretty good.
Hellion is better then Surge IMO
Emma
Wolverine
Nightcrawler(I'll reserve judgement, he'll get his chance soon)
Rogue
Cable
I'd put Jean but she admitted that she didn't have what it takes to be a leader.
