Anyway, I thought Annihilation was great... I guess I'm a bias Marvel troll as well. I loved the story more than anything that came out of Marvel in the last... 20 years. IMO (notice, IMO. And I say that because it is my opinion, and you can't tell me how to think), I think it stacks up to SC War. Do I have an opinion of which one is better? Not at the moment. However, it did incorporate many of my favorite characters from Marvel, and made them main events. I even walked out with some new love, and respect for some characters that were brought into a main event, with no previous encounters of a scale that big, and were made into stars. Who did you walk away with newfound respect for? Yat? Lulz.

And again, IMO, Marvel took bigger chances with smaller characters. They didn't bring in brand new characters, or recently introduced characters... they brought in pieces of shit no one gave a rats ass about before the event, and whether or not they sold shit all, they made them the main events. Annihilus? Nova? Ronan? Super Skrull?
Compare their popularity to Superboy Prime, the GL's, Anti-Monitor, Cyborg Superman, Sinestro, and kill yourself (no... I mean it).

Of course, chances don't make a story great, but when they take that many chances, and still sell copies like no tomorrow (nevermind that it was a good read), there's got to be something up...

And yes, call me a bias Marvel troll, call me whatever you want, but unless I'm conformist, and don't see something that's there, I'll be damned if I ever take your ass load of butt juice above my thoughts.

Recently revived GL's, Sinestro, Henshaw, and SBP were huge before this event? They were for the most part as obscure as the MU characters you named until very recently.

SC elevated it's characters to a similar degree and helped forge the GL corp even more.

Both storylines were good. Personally I found SC a better read.

Yat... I'll give you that.
Sinestro was in some big popular events.
Henshaw was in some big popular events.
SBP was in COIE, and was the main villain in the semi-recent IC...

I'd say they are a lot bigger before the event than Nova, Annihilus, Ronan, Super Skrull... wouldn't you?

Zauriel has been in big events... so has the creeper...

Nova and Ronan have been in big events.

A facsimile of Super-Skrull was used in the recent FF movie.

Annihilus is probably far better known than SBP among people that don't follow comics regularly.

And I did say that RECENTLY the characters named were starting to be used more.

Either way...it's debatable.

Both storylines were pretty good. IMO SC was the better...

One reason I liked AWave better was because it was truly a war book. It had a day count and took its toll on the very universe. I hate it when its earth vs this big space threat and Im glad marvel didnt bring this fight to earth. It was to grand in scale to have them invade earth. But all in all both were very good storylines and it all comes down to which one you prefer.

Problem is, Henshaw, SBP, and others are actually popular, and are tied directly with the biggest names of DC as some of their biggest enemies.

Annihilus? Anyway... SBP has been almost a star if you will of three big events in DC. Annihilus has been in minor F4 stories.

Recently... of course. However, recently Nova, SS, Ronan, Annhilus were barely used in anything before Annihilation.

It's not really debatable who had more popular characters... the only obscurity in SC really was Yat... and while he sucks anus, AW had tons more characters no one cared about.

Of course... of course.

Sinestro Corp War is better than almost anything Marvel has put out in the past 2 years.

AW is only good when compared to the disaster that was Civil War. It's a good story, but great? Hardly. roll eyes (sarcastic)

Quesada should bow down and pray for writers like Geoff Johns.

Moron.

Anywho - Annihilation was awesome, but Sinestro Corps was just awesome-er.
