Sinister is a master shapeshifter --- with complete control over his cellular structure --- and with a Wolverine-level regenerative healing factor.
That combo makes him extremely hard to put down.
That's without factoring in his telekinesis, which he can use in plenty of different ways, including firing energy beams, erecting forcefields and flying.
Oh no, how will Iron Man cope with energy beams and flying?
Without TP or prep, both Sinister and IM would be hard pressed to put the other down. I haven’t seen anything particularly impressive from Sinister’s tk, but iirc Tony has defenses against those sorts of attacks, so it’s not a sure fire thing anyways.
Tony could probably replicate Storm’s brain fry for a KO, but that feels like a lowball Sinister moment. Meh. Maybe sonics or explosives could be used to blow up/disperse/incapacitate Sinister long enough for a forum win.
But when has Sinister ever shown TK powerful enough to rip apart Iron Man’s armour? Without even considering that Iron Man has various defences, is much faster, and is fighting back.
Without considering TP:
-Sinister is powerful, but Iron Man is more powerful
-Sinister is versatile, but Iron Man is more versatile
Sinister’s trump card here is that he is a pain in the ass to put down, which... meh.
He doesn't need TP. His physical stats and ridiculous TK are what win it for him. Didn't you see the scan Stilt posted? His shields withstood the combined attack from Dazzler/Jean/Ice Man/Storm/Havok. That's a sh|ton of fire power.

They did fight in -Hunt for Wolverine Adamantium Agenda Issue 3 - but it was interrupted by female Wolverine. Then, after that Sinister had a beastly showing in issue 4 against a team of Ironmen along with a couple of other Avengers while injured but they overwhelmed him in the end. Tony had on some Psi-Blockers during their fight but you can tell none of them couldve beat him solo imo.

Iron Man has yet to be seen using his weight advantage his armor gives him openly.
If he could amass his weight gain like Wolverine's bone weight he would be able to slow down his opponent both in fighting and in death when he kills Mr. Sinister makeing it to put it plainly...one sided.
Sinister's shielding would be better, with a Wolverine-like healing factor for if he does get hurt. He could also teleport right ontop of Iron Man and start dealing damage up close and personal. Or bind his arms behind him and go to town.
I know that Iron Man is basically a Swiss army knife though, I'm sure he'd have wicked counters.
