Thanks and yeah Azrael tricked Bane that time by pretending to be on Venom. Bane has pulled that same trick a few times and would still wear his injection gear while off of Venom.
Third skirmish in this thread against Catman. Bane basically tanks Catman's kick to his throat, and draws blood from Catman's mouth with a punch. Ragdoll also briefly attacks Bane to protect Catman.
Bane makes his first major appearance in Rebirth during the "I Am Suicide" arc. There his origin is retold as he was born in prison and forced to stay in a underground cell that would flood every night. At age 4 he had to survive by swimming to the top of his cell to breathe and eat fish and rats, until the waters receded. He had to do this every night for 17 years.
In the "I Am Bane" arc, the similar but very different upbringing of Bruce and Bane are beautifully portrayed. Bane had a much harsher childhood and was able to kick thru a prison wall as a youth, even before being introduced to Venom.
A naked and weaken Bane due to Venom withdrawal stomps Batman, and breaks his back again utilizing a different technique. Batman is also weaken from fighting Bane's army, offering no resistance.
Bane gets back on Venom and goes to Gotham City for revenge. Bruce tells the former Robins, the current Robin, and Lark to basically leave the city, b/c Bane will kill them if they don't. He states that Bane is stronger than them and maybe stronger than him. I think Bruce means having a stronger will b/c clearly Bane is physically stronger than him.
Bruce is so fearful for their lives that he takes them to the Fortress of Solitude, and asks Big Blue himself to watch over them. So basically cryogenic chambers, Superman, and the Fortress of Solitude is needed for protective custody against Bane.
So what happens to the Bat-Family members that are too stupid or stubborn to leave like Commissioner Gordon and Lark? Also Bane breaks through a cement wall.
Bane destroying everyone and everything in Arkham. Look at the fear on Solomon Grundy and Amygdala faces. Bane resist Scarecrow's fear gas b/c he doesn't have nightmares, "I give nightmares." Continues to punch his way thru bolted reinforced steel doors.
Bane completely dominates most of the fight and basically threatens to kill everyone that Bruce cares about, plus burn his city. But Bane becomes overconfident, and a near death Bruce suddenly gets renewed plot life energy from hearing his dead mother's voice. One Detective Comics cash-cow headbutt later, Batman prepares for his next comic arc and appearances in Justice League, Justice League of America, Trinity, All Star Batman, etc.
Takes leap from at least 3 stories high and lands on feet with no damage. Then immediately takes 50,000 volts of electricity at point two amps with minimal damage.
Bane and Batman are captured at different times by the same cult organization. They end up together in an underground dungeon and are tortured daily. The walls are carved from granite, but a weaken Bane is about to crack it from one punch. They communicate by speaking in at least three different languages switching from one to the other during the same conversation.
After torture Bane grabs a bolted toilet from the wall, and places it in the food tray slot. He also uses a pipe to break through the granite walls to escape his cell. After Bane does most of the work, Bruce follows his lead offering a little assistance. Bane breaks completely thru the wall, and along with Bruce they easily dispatch the guards.
Bane takes Venom directly without tubing. (They should keep him without the tubes.) Bane uses stealth on the same level as Batman and kills a squad of soldiers.
Rebirth Bane vs Batman round 5
A brief stalemate although Bane got one more shot in. Also Bane shows decent speed and leaping ability, plus he easy survives a tumble down a snowy mountain slope.
I always thought Mammoth was around class 50ish, more or less so depending on the plot. But that's just a guess going by his fights with Starfire, Donna Troy, Cyborg, Superboy etc pre 52.
Young Justice the soon to comeback cartoon show? He seemed the same to me of what I can remember. Dumb brick type with no skill.
