Then you have nothing to worry about as you don't have to worry about friends betraying you then.

But if I did have any, then I would do what I said before.

Of course that is understood. Thanks for such an honest opinion Corran. It should make my project all the more fascinating.

Narcil as I said before this is a hypothetical situation for important research I am doing. If you disapprove no one is making you post here.

It would depend on the depth of the betrayal, as I see it from my own eyes. But I agree with Corran for the most part....giving someone a second chance shows how big of a person you are. But not necessarily third and fourth chances, you know.

So if someone does it over and over you would not call him friend again?

That is correct. If it is a continual betrayal, I would consider it unacceptable behavior and discontinue the friendship. I wouldn't be losing a friend, because the friendship would have ceased to exist anyway.

Hm...a most enlightened view you seem to have Gundark. What if the person in question claimed not to know why you were mad at him even after several attempts to do so have been made?

What about hypocrisy in relationships? Or being lead on by certain kinds of people who use you then get rid of you just like that?

Yeah Augey, I think this thread has reached its impasse. Maybe it can be closed or not as the mods wish.

woah..wait---i never said i disapproved of anything. i think his answer was a perfectly general one; one i happened to agree with. ^_^*
secondly...i think that if this hypothetical friend is incapable of seeing what the 'issue' is or whatever, but is still trying to make amends, you should still consider him as a friend (give him second chances, etc.) ^_^
