You're not getting it.
If you move before the trigger is pulled, you don't need to be as fast as the attack itself-you just need to be faster than the aim.
Point-blank?
Spider-Man only has to move less than a foot to dodge an attack- the attack travels multiple feet.
So he's faster than an unspecified computer's ability to target him.
How does that make him FTL lmao. If my friend has a torch and I dodge him shining his torch on me, that doesn't make me FTL lol. It just means I'm faster than my friend's ability to target me.
And you have zero idea about what my friend can or cannot do.
Respectfully disagree. You only have to be fast enough to move yourself out of the direction the targeting system locked upon.
While targeting systems can use light/infrared-based tracking, they can also rely on radar. And radar is essentially speed-of-sound divided by 2 since the ping has to emit out and then bounce back to be received.
And all these systems still have to deal with CPU processing speed to create a tracking target.
And all these systems are still limited by mechanical motor speed that charges up and discharges said projectile.
Which would be further limited if the trigger system is reliant on conscious thought or the literal finger-pulling of a trigger.
Aim-dodging has a lot of constituent components that leave alot of avenues to not stretch our suspension of disbelief. A true FTL reflex feat eliminates all of those possible conditionals.
Which usually is limited to when an artist shows the panel-by-panel progression of a lightspeed beam already being on its path to its target and then the target moving afterwards in the next panel(s).
But if you disagree with that, I'd argue the concept of aim-dodging is a more likely resolution to your disagreement than a blanket "any energy beams fired don't move at light speed" notion.
To a certain degree, but not Superman’s ridiculous highs. While all Kryptonians are extremely powerful and exceptional, Prime Superman is exceptional among them, and it’s not really close. Even the alternate Clark’s who are their own level of exceptional as well, aren’t as strong as Clark.
