In fact, I'd say with The Hives, The Killers and Green Day already on the list, they are doing pretty well actually. You'll get there one day.

Come on summer - I am soooo looking forward to Leeds Festival this year. Got my tickets already. Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Kasabian, Kings Of Leon and loads of other bands I love. I can't believe I'll get to see Iron Maiden - at long last!

I would go to Reading, but the only band i wnt to see there is Maiden and a day ticket with postage is around £70! blink
Thankfully ive seen Maden before, so i'll wait till they tour the next album to see them again. At the moment, im just hoping Bruce does sme shows to promote his solo album. Its great and would go down so well live, i just hope there are some kinds of shows. sad

However, i dont have £70 to spare. sad
Its nothing to do with not being a true fan, the ammount of maiden and maiden related things i have shelled out for over the years is a hell of a lot! On Bruce's solo material alone i think ive spent about £300/400, so christ only knows how much ive shelled out. big grin
But the fact is, i just dont have the money at this moment in time to fork out for it, especially when id only go to see maiden. sad

Bruce has been back in the band since 1999 wink
But he still has a solo carrer, which is the perfect time to mention:

Bruce Dickinson - Tryanny Of Souls
Out May 23rd

eek!

Ive heard it, its fantastic! Go buy it! big grin

I would suggest starting on 70's rock, or 70's artists work in the 80's and some acts from the 80's. Probibly not the best idea to jump straight into trash metal. big grin
Some good starting albums:

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Oz
Deep Purple - In Rock / Machine Head (Really hard to decide which to start on)
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock / Back In Black
Pink Floyd - Darkside Of The Moon / The Wall
Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast is obvious, but id recomend Piece Of Mind
Led Zepplin - I / II
Yes - Fragile

wink

I love heavy metal but I don't really know anyone, I've heard here & there but I have no names who sang them & to let you know I'm not into pop really.... erm I'm going off McFly a bit so you'll be happy about that, & pop isn't me, rock, rock 'n roll & metal

Reading sold out pretty damn quick didn't it?

Bloody hell, I can't wait. I'm going for the whole weekend. It's like a big holiday to me, I always have the time of my life at these things.

I know at Leeds, every night's gonna end on a bang.

Friday, Iron Maiden (what a way to start it off eh?) Saturday will be Kasabian down at the radio 1 tent, and then Sunday, the Foo Fighters will end it with a bang.

Can't fookin wait.

Blue Dragon,

You can't claim to like Busted, McFly and G4 then say Pop isn't you.

They're all Pop bands.

Download is by far the best festival line-up. Although Incubus are at Reading.

I don't like B and MF very much, I've gone off them (they're pop.) G4 however are pretty good but they're aren't pop.
