The funny thing is it never ocurred to me that is wasn't in continuity, as compared to the Access stuff that was clearly in Crosso-verse. Much of the delays in getting JLA/Avengers out the door was owing to things like redoing artwork to keep up with character and costume changes. To me, that said that they were concerned with continuity.

RE: Controversial matchups. Even the ones where I didn't care for the outcome, I could at least see them going that way. Thor tried to match Supes brawn for brawn, and Superman came out ahead. If Thor had fought a bit smarter, he might've won and he said as much to Aquaman later on. The point was that lots of these matchups were close enough that they could go either way depending on slight changes in circumstance, and that's how much of it played out. Cap vs. Batman was perfect.

Yeah, Thor was pretty dumb in his fight with Supes. He just sat there and decided to be blasted by Supes' heat vision. He could have deflected or absorbed it with Mjolnir, then smacked his ass silly with some Thunder God mojo. Or not. That's just my opinion.

Could it have been done better? Is it in continuity?

**** it, who cares? Just read it and be happy that it happened. Can't you enjoy a damn good story once in awhile without having to worry yourself into an ulcer about stupid little details?

Whirly and the gang can't. They will do anything to prove Superman is unbeatable. Too bad they also proved how useless OA energy is against Ionic Energy of Wonder Man, and the nearly omnipotent powers of Monica Rambeau Photon who was draining Kyle of OA energy. Oh, and also proving how Hawkeye's the best and took out Krona instead of Superman with the Mjolnir/Cap's Shield.

It's obvious Thor isn't though, Supes was just boosting his ego. Supes beat Thor faster than he beats Metallo. And Thor CERTAINLY didn't KILL him like Doomsday did... so, theory destroyed. Just because a character SAYS something, doesn't make it fact...it's not true till it's -shown-.

Good try at draining Kyle..when he was ION, one of the last things he did was make his ring never runs out of energy.

He had him in the ropes, the so called OWAW Superman according to you. And wasent though? Superman saying it doesnt matter?

Ill remember that the next time Superman - states- something that isent -proven to be wrong- after.

About the rant concerning Doomsday...neither Thor or Superman killed each other or wer close to it.

"Good try at draining Kyle..when he was ION, one of the last things he did was make his ring never runs out of energy."

But that wasent ION was it.
