Why would you get scared? Posession isn't THAT scary, WOOOoooH! You lose control over your body! It's pretty much like grand theft auto if you think about it..
And what's the worse thing that can happen? You die? Pthffft..
You'll find evil is only as scary as you let it be, how do you think SpellJammer fealt when he was told by God the soul could die? Now try to grasp your head around this because he knows it's difficult..
You're a being of energy and mind..
But somehow, (Though extremely difficult) you can lose your mind. (Litteraly..)
Thus, you go back to the quantamn field. Plants and un-thinking cells reside on this field. Wether or not they were once "living" beings or if that was just thier place is anybody's guess, once you go to the quantamn field, there is no turning back.
So the worse thing that can happen to you is you lose your sense of self, which is pretty much what we fear here on Earth, and yet somehow we deal with it when death knocks on our door or we see people die infront of us. Why? Because nobody likes a whiner. Simple as that.

there are a lot of things surrounding demonic possession that are really all subject to theory....really nothing can be proven
personally i dont really associate myself with any specific religion, i pick and choose what i believe in.
however, i do think that we co-exist with both good and bad entities. Although they are on a separate plane of existance, one that we cant often times see and never touch.
I believe that we always have someone watching over us, not necessarily angels, as some religions believe, but good entities, maybe those of deceased loved ones, etc.
But in playing with fire, you always get burned. I stay away from ouijja boards and evp, among other things.
We are not meant to communicate with the other side, and in attempting to do so we open up what i normally explain to people, metaphorically speaking, as a doorway. When you open the door, you dont know what youre letting into your home, and often times its both good and bad entities. Another way of looking at it, is having an open window without a screen. Theres nothing to keep bugs out, so whatever happens to be flying around the neighborhood comes in and makes itself at home.
I did grow up in a haunted house, so I can tell you from first hand experience, when a bad or angry entity is in your house, you KNOW, and its not something to be taken lightly. However we did also have peaceful and mischevious entities, which you could often see just out of the corner of your eye, they most often took the form of children. You could sometimes hear them laughing and hear their footsteps running around on the upstairs floor. They'd sometimes move things, harmless stuff. But our bad/angry entities would wake me up in the middle of the night with the sound of yelling outside my door, and my bed shaking. Once a rack of knives we had on a storage shelf for no reason at all flew out, and at my mother, who at the time happened to be walking by.
Anyways, i'm not sure how i feel about demonic possession, since most records of incidents took place before information on mental illnesses was available. I'm sure many 'possessed' people werent actually possessed, but in all actuality could have been schitzophrenic or have tourettes. There really is no credible documentation on possession that could prove or disprove the idea.

With EVPs you are communicating with something that is already there! Only Ouija Boards are dangerous because you're talking to something that is not there and opening up a door way for it to enter.

Which is probably why when I dreamnt about them I was 9 out of 10 times having some sortof tiff.. Even with the dead SpellJammer doesn't put up with bullshit..

Okay I didnt read all of this, but to anyone who thinks demonic possession is fake or is not real : YOU ARE SO SHITTING YOURSELVES!. I am involved in a Paranormal research team. Our leader is a Demonologist, last hunt we were on at Mansfield University our Psychic was trying to make contact with the spirit of Mrs.Stentmen the lady who use to be the dean of music there before she died. While trying to contact her 5 brute (lowest level demon) demons slipped in. (This can happen, Demons exist on another plane but can come through to ours through portals/vortex's and things like QuQi(sp?) board and seances) Now I know you all will think I am nuts but its true. And if any of you believe in God then you know the devil is real too and so are demons. as the movie quote says "Demons exist whether you believe in them or not".
what BlackCat is saying is true! I took classes from people who have been working in the paranormal for 18 years. EVP's are a helpful way of communicating with spirits and entities. Tarot,Quji,Seances and welcoming demons will cause Possessions. Ghost however are harmless, they can not hurt you. Only if they were aggressive in life will they be aggressive in death. They carry their personality over. Demons, and Poltergeist (which is actually PK [Psychokenises] caused by people mostly teen girls) will harm you. But a typical haunting wont.
i have no idea what it could be, but why would the devil care about some random dude who works at wal-mart would 'nt he want to take over someone important like dick cheney...oh wait he did.

i consider myself a pretty open minded person and i like to believe that most things are possible, but some of this i find hard to believe. i'm not ruling it out or anything, but different level demons?
