I don't understand how they just started calling him Logan instead of Jimmy after a while.... with no explanation....Logan should have just been his name AFTER he lost his memory, or something
I have a big problem with the deadpool ending. If this is meant for a spinoff...if being decapitated did not kill him, how is another movie supposed to make us ever believe he can even die? I mean..... itd be a very pointless character if he can never die...
Saw the movie over the weekend, and I have to say FOX did it again.
This was not a great movie by any means.
The acting was ok.
The script was all over the place.
The beginning was great, but the rest of the movie felt rushed and convoluted.
The Weapon X experience was way too short and not dark enough. It needed to display a heavier sense of cruelty towards Wolverine so we could understand why he's so tormented. Instead, I felt like 'what is this guy complaining about he was just given cool ass adamantium skeleton and claws with little consequence'.
I didn't like that they called Weapon X Deadpool. It was really unnecessary and felt like they just threw his name in there to please some fans.
I didn't like that Gambit didn't have a French accent, but whatever I can live with that.
The ending was not very good either. The adamantium bullet thing was terrible.
Overall, I was fairly disappointed.

That doesn't even make sense...he saw Wolverine attacking Sabretooth, and if he was so scared about being taken back to the island he would have ran away.
I just saw the wolverine movie, and now i know how stan and kyle felt when watching Indiana Jones 4, Gavin Hood and Hugh Jackman just raped Wolverine and all the other characters involved.
Yes actaully I thought liev schrieber was a great sabertooth, if your going to pick out something bad about the movie that was by far your wortst option.
Gender: Male Location: In Luna's mane, chasing STAAARS!
The way Wolverine finished off Weapon XI looked kinda R rated. Don't care because I love the violence. Also if Logan and Creed are brothers you think that in the first X-Men movie, Creed would've said something to Logan like "Hi brother" or whatever. I think the dudes who made this movie should have checked a little more so things can make a little sense in the future between these two guys. You think after seeing Creed in the first movie, Logan would've had some of his memory back but I guess he didn't (stupid adamantium bullets).
that due to loses of memory and also on the fact they had a pro wrestler play sabertooth in the first movie, he had almost no lines out side roar grrrr lol.
The other Weapon X members had too little screen time. They could have been soooo much more interesting as supporting characters. Deadpool especially. I liked Reynold's portrayal of the character in the beginning. It was toned down from his comic appearances, but it worked for a live-action film; and then some numb-nuts at Fox decided to actually sew his mouth shut and take away his loveable personality.
Gender: Male Location: Ushering your dreams to the light.
I think in the comics some of his memory loss was self inflicted by his healing factor to protect from his past so seeing Sabertooth in X1 probably would've just re-enforced that.
For me the big things are:
* Gambit's teleport to the roof top after Logan initially knocked him out.
* As ctsketch pointed out: 'Hey Jimmy...you know we'll *all* just call you Logan now.'
* The dead air near the end when Wolverine ran into the operating theatre and then just strolled out and around the facility. Chatted it up with an old flame, hashed some stuff out with his brother, had some cake.
* The adamantium mindwipe. There were other ways of doing it, continuity issues aside. It just seemed too clunky of an explanation.
* Dull adamantium blades and optic blasts with no kick. See Logan's t-shirt and Victor's suit near the end of the movie. :P
What I didn't mind:
* Logan and Victor's relationship. It really doesn't change much between them. They used to hang and now they're bitter enemies. I think they played that up really well too. At first Logan stood by Victor out of brotherhood but I really felt for him during Vietnam(?) when he was clearly pissed at Victor for his actions but was determined to stand with his brother. I just wish Sabretooth put up a better fight.
* Deadpool. His optic blasts are the only thing he really needs to loose and those could've burned out on the way down or the decap could've led to brain damage. Cyclops can't control his and Wade can no longer access it. Likewise, the adamantium bonding wasn't quite complete so maybe his body begins rejecting it. This could lead to some awkwardness as his body rejects bone-sized masses and he has to regen them. The swords/teleport/hf are all good to go however.
* The gloss over on the other Weapon X teammates. It is Wolverine's movie and he, Sabertooth, and Deadpool were the main attractions.
* The cameos. I liked them. We know its not 616, or even Ultimate exactly so why not.
Aside from all that, I was really enjoyed the movie. I really like Shrieber's Sabertooth. It'd be interesting if he has a spin-off, or something like the F&F prequel shorts, to show his further mutation into his X1 form.
