Thanos was royally humiliated throughout the course of TI, it showed just who wore the trousers in his "relationship" with Death (really abusive treatment of poor Thanos there ... would take a break or look for someone who values me, if I were him).

Thanos has always sought her affection so what has exactly changed ?

Thanos needed to undo this with a ritual Mar-vell didn't think through because he was impulsive allowing Thanos to release death to solo the entire universe.

The entire arc showed how much smarter Thanos was than starlord and everyone combined. He ended this threat and set up Mar-vell after showing him ho wmuch stronger he was even while weakened than Mar-vell.

The guy is too powerful for most vs. threads nowadays.

Like what? He killed like 4 cancerverse beings who would be mid herald max, killed drax which isn't that impressive and held an advantage although didn't win against mar-vell.
