45 And Jesus said, Who is it that touched me? And when all denied, Peter said, and they that were with him, Master, the multitudes press thee and crush thee.
46But Jesus said, Some one did touch me; for I perceived that power had gone forth from me.
Power = Force? Matter of translation.
So it is said that something called the "power" / "the Force" moved out from Jesus according to the Bible itself.
Or is the Bible perhaps lying?
"You must feel the Force around you." Jesus felt it in himself. If he felt it, then it must have been real. Otherwise he would have bene a lunatic.
Take that, you zealots...
You have only 2 choices.
A) There was a Force that Jesus recognized.
B) Jesus was lying and the Bible is false.

I assume you are a Bible expert then?
If not, you are in no position to make judgements of my reference.
I was just pointing out a chapter from the book and making a sentence that is true by the logic.
"I don't understand how the car works. But nothing can move without legs. Car cannot move."
I dont think its something as simple as the force = God. I think people try to connect star wars to their own life. eg. Darkside qualities like hate making you powerful, or fear leads to anger, possessions lead to jealousy. The things Anakin was exposed to that led him to the darkside. These are things that are true in everyday life. There is alwalys consequence to your choices. Making good choices leads to good things. pretty simple. These are all in the bible.
I Think Lucas was a methodist, so he understands these things.
I think this hardcore christian guy is saying, dont consider these things because you then dont need to accept Jesus the way they want you too.
Most Christians want you to fully accept Jesus, and this leads to people taking it literally causing them to be almost worse than Palpatine. Thats why I kind of liked setting arguments up, so you dont accept things that can be false
Well some people do beilve jedi is a religion. I was watching sky news and two star wars fans dressed as jedi's came on the show. They even had there own jedi names lolz.
1) Jesus was talking about HIS OWN POWER which HE has because He is God. and God is omnipotent.
2) Miracles derive from Christ Jesus and the Son and the Holy Spirit (one GOd forever) MIracles dont happen through concentrating and pushing harder but come about through prayer, faith and the anointing of God.
The Bible is the Word of God not a spell book.
3) George lucas is a methodist so his knowledge of his faith would make it easier for him to make Christian refrences in his movies.

Re: star wars is evil (according to christians)
Wasn't a real protest... well atleast that is what it appears through my research, since the site that is on the sign leads you to this: http://www.ooze.com/toolofsatan/
GL's a methodist? I did not know that...

As a Christian myself, I felt the Star Wars series exemplified Christian values. A few people go too far with criticizing pop culture and nonreligious people assume that means all Christians must feel a certain way. The truth is that we are a diverse group of different races, sexes, ages, and backgrounds and our opinions, hobbies, and interests are quite varied.
The heart of Star Wars centers around someone lost to evil and his children trying to help redeem him. If that is not the main idea of Christianity, than I don't know what is. We all get a second chance through Christianity. Throughout the series, you have people of different social classes and even species that work together towards a common goal. It's about someone who finds a power in the universe greater than himself and lets it influence him to do good and make his environment a better place.
I think there is even a book out there called The Gospel Through Star Wars or something close to that.

Actually there is Christian books about several things that many see to be Evil like Harry Potter. My mom has a book entitled "Finding God in Harry Potter"
You remember the Harry Potter controversy right? Bigest waste of time ever.
All in all, however, the protest was a farce designed to make fun of christians.

2) MY ENTIRE SCHOOL WHICH IS A GOOD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ARE STAR WARS FREAKS
3) I do admit that there are some similarities BECAUSE GEORGE LUCAS TOOK MYTHOLOGY AND BIBLE and brought some aspects into STAR WARS
Examples
1) Anakin never haveing a Father - (BIBLE) The Virgin Birth
2) Light Sabers - (Mythology) Excalibur
3) The Force - NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT TALK ABOUT THE FORCE....Someone did touch Jesus and the bible according to my religion never lies and Jesus was makeing NO REFERANCE to THE FORCE.....
4) Jedi Council - (Mythology) Knights at the Round Table in this case sitting in a circular patterns with chairs.
SO TAKE THAT YOU STAR WARS BASHING RELIGIOUS FANATIC FREAKS
I love God i love Jesus i Love Chrisitianity
I hate IDIOTS that try to Mix Or LOOK AT THE "DEEPER MEANING" behind GOOD MOVIES
I hate IDIOTS that try to Mix up anything that is good with something that is just SPECULATION
I hate Idiots that JUST TALK OUT OF THEIR ARSES

How can you tell? You might be currently reading the modern Bible version 8.3234 beta.
The original scriptures written between 32-100 BC. What is written in those... Thats the interesting part.
Now we are having a translation of a translations translation infront of us. Gee, I wonder how much of it is still intact.
Power and Force could be considered synonyms. Not by todays standards of course, but we are talking about semantics. Was the original word intented to mean power, or force.
