K so personally I think batman is da man.
How would he fare against Judge Dredd ( stop laughing in the corner there...i did not mean the movie one but the cool comic one).
The dude usually shows no mercy and has a reckless attitude.
So who would bust who up????

They have already met numerous times: Judgement On Gotham, Vendetta In Gotham, Ultimate Riddle, and Die Laughing. The only out and out fight they had (in Vendetta, I think), they were almost perfectly matched, but Dredd won.
And we have a versus subforum in the general area.

Thanks Gregory...If possible can my post be moved?
Anyway....I have not read any Batman vs Dredd comics but man.....dredd won???
Please do give a summary of how this was done when you have time.

A summary? I can do better than that. Batman vs. Dredd, blow for blow:
Dredd opens hostilities when he fires on the Batmobiel from his motorcycle, causing it to lose control.
Dredd leans over the Batmobiel; Batman smashes him in the face, knocking him down.
From a prone position, Dredd kicks the legs out fro under Batman.
Dredd tells Batman that he's come just to fight him. He says that thge fight will be hand to hand, and throws away his gun. Batman says that that's crazy, and that he refuses, but Dredd kicks him; they fall through a rail into a playground
Batman punches Dredd, knocking him backwards.
Dredd hits Batman with the see-saw (he pushes one end down so that the other end hits him), then punches him in the face.
Batman hits Dredd in the face with a swing, flips over him, grabs the bar that forms the top of a swing-like piece of equipment, and powers into Dredd feet-first, knocking him face-first into a wall.
Batman takes a flying kick at Dredd, but Dredd ducks, and Batman goes over the wall into the path of an oncoming train (I guess the playground was by the train track). Dredd swears.
Batman manages to slow his fall by grabbing some sort of pipe; he lands on the top of the train. Dredd jumps on after him.
Batman goes onto his back and flips Dredd over him with his legs. Dredd goes over the side of the train, but climbs back up and kicks Batman in the jaw.
By now, the train is going over a bridge, and is quite high in the air.
The next page consists of twelve square pannels showing bits of the fight
1) Batman punches Dredd
2) Dredd punshes Batman
3) Batman and Dredd grapple
4) Dredd hits Batman
5) Batman hits Dredd
6) Batman and Dredd fall away from each other
7) Batman hits Dredd
8) Batman hits Dredd again
9) Batman and Dredd face off
10) Batman hits Dredd
11) Dredd grabs Batman
12) Dredd throws Batman onto the coll barge
Dredd jumps onto the coll barge. His foot accidently hits the locking mehanism, opening the hatch and spilling the coll into the river bellow.
Batman starts to lose his grip. He says, "Looks like you win, Dredd." Dredd grabs Batman's hand, and they both plunge into the canal.
I had thought the fight ended there, but I see there are a few pannels left:
Batman asks why Dredd saved him. Dredd replies "You know me--regular Samaritan" and punches Batman square in the face.
In the next pannel they are both lying on the ground, obviously exhausted. Dredd tells Batman that he hopes he's learned his lesson; Batman says that there's nothing that Dredd could teach him, and punches him in the face. At this point, Dredd ends the fight, so I guess it wasn't a clearl-cut victory for him like I'd remembered.
In case you're wondering, the real reason Dredd attacked Batman was this:
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Judge Wells, a dimensional specialist, went on an unauthorized trip to Gotham Cityl; among the things he took back was a newspaper account of Batman's death; he died trying to save a senators children from being murdered by the Ventriloquest, and was killed in the explosion. One of Mega-City's PSIs had a promonition that Batman was going to be instrumental in saving Mega-City at some point in the future (and he is, in Die Laughing), so Dredd was sent over to save him. Since Batman would never agree not to interfere--the children would die if he did nothing--Dredd was trying to keep him occupied until it was too late. In the end, however, Batman does save the day, with some help by Dredd.

Dredd wins, but I only vote for him because he's (I think) the underdog. But he's at least as strong as Batman, is also a very good fighter and is very tough. He never quits.
But granted, two characters are very equal.

Thanks for the move Paola
Thanks Gregory ( just like reading a comic )
I like dredd's street fighting tactics.....and seems he can take a lot of beating when compared to batman.
( I did read the spoiler - dnt think I will get hold of that comic ever)
So I take Batman & Dredd team up to save the children...and as for the
Ventriloquest..
Can you shed some light on him/her/it?

I don't know much about him. His real name is Arnold Wesker, and he's deeply schitzophrenic. He has two distinct personalities; a timid, mild-mannered man (Albert Wesker) and a rutheless, gangster-style criminal (Scarface). He channels the second personality into a wooden doll, called Scarface. Scarface utterly dominates Wesker, who takes orders from him.

Ahhhhh now I remember him.....I did see him in couple of Batman Animated eps(Seems the puppet was alive or something. Although I think a puppet al capone wannabe villian is not very cool, It is one of Batmans toughest nemesis...Did Dredd have a go at it?
Dredd: "Freeze puppet, Ur goin to the Joint"
Scareface: "Ur not takin me down coppa bwahahahah"
Funny huh?

It's like this; the senator's kid is in a play that involves her carrying around a doll. Scarface plants a bomb inside himself ("Scarface is a great believer in reincarnation." "You mean he's got another dummy at home.") Wesker is to detinate the doll by remote control, but the kid hits the doll and "dislodged the signal frequency." I'm not sure if that means anything in the real world, but in comic-book-land, it meant that Wesker had to spend time manually searching for the frequency that will blow up the doll. He finds the right frequency just as Batman is telling the kid to give him the doll, but Dredd (who was following Batman, but who recognized Ventriloquest as he drove past) shot it out of his hands. One of Scarface's lackeys picked up the divice and detonated the doll, but by then Batman had gotten rid of it. It's all a bit silly (being smacked by a kid messed up the mechanics, but it still functioned after being shot be Dredd?), but good fun never-the-less. Dredd takes Wesker and Scarface's other lackey's in with a minimum of violence, so no real fighting.

i'd say batman would win if they fought again. Both have fought the predator, and batman faired much better than dredd did.... but thats about all i know of dread....
hehehe they dont make bombs like they used to...yeah you cant beat up the ventriloquest cause there is not much to beat up.
So this bout was more of a "friendly nature"? Dredd was making sure that Batman lives to save their sorry city.
How would Batman of the future fare against Dredd? Since the Batman beyond suit is powered (while terry is fairly weak when compared to brucie).

Friendly? I wouldn't say that; Dredd and Batman don't like each other. They weren't trying to kill each other, though.
Can't say how Terry would do; not a Batman Beyond fan.

Like I said, they're too equal, so it could go either way, but I have this feeling Dredd is even tougher than Batman.
First time they met, Batman had the pleasure to meet Dredds nightstick. Don't remember exactly how it went, but it was something like this:
Dredd : okay, pointy ears, hands up.
Batman : I'm on your side.
Dredd : Fine, so just do as I say (beats Batman unconsciousness).
That was a funny scene .

In a fight between batman with the beyond suit and Dredd- my bets on Batman. Terry may be weaker than Bruce but the suit amplifies his strength by a factor of ten, not to mention he can go invisible and has new gadgets as well.
