Namor is in it, so you know im collecting, but it seems a bit too slow for me. I want more action. Its not like its an ongoing. There isnt a proper balance of story and action to me. And although im not much of a Surfer fan. I think it real bad that hes not really part of the team. I pray that some bigtime action can show up. Im getting tired of seeing Dormammu and his sister talk all the time.
i will admit there isn't much action but the humour is good but an't help but bring up inconsistances and odd stuff that will now be acceptd as canon like silver surfer never coming across surfers before (rolls eyes).
it seems though more like the big 3 and not the big 4
waiting to see the defenders trash the marvel heroes again in issue 5 although this will be ofcause dormamru's versions of them.
anyway they are trying to balnce the action/seriuosness with comedy which most of the times just doesn't connect they should just either town down the humour or make it a pure funny book.
anyway when bruce wanted to transform, can banner still keep his mind when he wishes to transform; in one of the panels when banner tried to tramsform i reconise all the others like shazhulk but the first one i have a picture in my mind but can't place it on the characters where banner got those catchphrase from.
i just finished The Order miniseries and i loved it so im more inclined to finsh the rest of v2 before i move onto this one. however dematties is one of my favorite writers ever so i read the first issue and i loved the quarrels between bruce and namor, it was hilarious.
but from what ive read on this thread so far surfer doesnt really come back after that stupid surfer encounter thing so that makes me somewhat reluctant to read it just because i love what surfer brings to the table as a character.
Joe Q. said he wants to keep the Defenders around, although to my knowledge, this mini hasn't been getting the sales they wanted. Oh well, at least the name is fresh and workable in people's minds again.
