I dunno. When has main universe Supes raced to the edge of the solar system in under a minute and survived something far larger than a planet buster? The Sun Eater thing is debatable. Some interpret it as ihe was hit by the bomb and not the actual energy of the SE. That's also not exactly a standard showing for Clark. More akin to Spiderman beating Firelord.
Also, I'm no good at science but I'd guess there's a large difference between simply being FTL and being FTL enough to reach the edge of our solar system in under a minute.
Any FTL feats for normal Supes suggesting he's that fast?

A. Flying to Saturn in 4 minutes alone shows NE Clark is slower than his RS self.
B. Of course he has the same powers...he's Superman, whatever the universe. Most versions of Supes have pretty identical powersets.

a. its one example, and in no way an indication of his top speed. it was also a while ago, before his more recent upgrades.
b. wasnt the point i was making.
NE Superman flew to the Source wall in seconds from our Solar System. That's the very edge of the universe in a different dimension.

Maybe that’s why humans drink the darkness that is coffee.
The way I looked at Red Son was that he was basically what normal Superman would be if he was born in a communist regime, and if he was quite older (and had thus absorbed more solar energy).
comparing feat to feat will have 'normal' Superman winning, because Red Son only had Red Son graphic novel arc (plus one or two other appearances ...e.g Arena), while 'normal' Superman has decades of feats to pull from.
However, my belief (personal, of course ....meaning it may very well NOT be the case) is that Red Son is just a what-if version of 'normal' Superman, but instead of crashing in Kansas he crashed in the USSR. Also he has had more time to absorb solar radiation (he is older than 'normal' Superman), and thus would be stronger.
Feat vs feat, though, 'normal' Kal wins ....but that may be primarily due to decades of feats to pull from vs one graphic novel and an additional appearance here and there.
