Notice that Dante's style of h2h combat when equipped with Ifrit greatly reminds K's one. There's no wonder since they both use personalized Jeet Kune Do style (there's lots of similiarities between K's moveset and Dante's moveset when equipped Ifrit or Beowulf: Straight-Heat Drive; Tornado- Heaven Drive; Rising Dragon- Crow Bite etc).
Gender: Male Location: The sewers of the Big City!
Hold on there, Dante's moveset with the Beo-wolf originates from street fighter. Rising Dragon=Shinryuken, Real Impact=Shin-Shoryu-ken, etc. He even has Chun-li's Houyouko-Sen. I don't see how it can be similiar to K'.

Well, I'm going to explain. Both our whitehaired beauties are said to use "the personalized version of Jeet Kune Do" (though it's based on moveset observation, fighting styles of both of them were never named in the profile). So there's bound to be some similarities in moveset which we can observe.
Though Dante is a Capcom character, and his moveset was based on Capcom "fireball-uppercut" type characters, not on SNK ones, obviously.
One of those rare cutscenes in the game where Dante dresses exactly in the costume that you yourself pick (instead of his default one in many such sequences).
DMC3- mission 12
Dante with haywire NeoGenerator (the mission with that item shows us that Dante can resist soulsuck for limited period of time (aproximately 10 minutes), so soul affecting weapons aren't instant kill against him.
They have seen that, but sadly that didn't stop them, they started arguing that the devise sucking Dante's soul there is nothing compared to Kain's soul affecting spells &Soul Reaver (though Soul Reaver is a great weapon, but Kain isn't creative warrior but rather a cunning warlord).
10 minutes time limit is the time in which you die from soul suck in that mission when you just stand and do nothing (proved experimentally).
At least there was proven than Dante in DMC2 is pretty much immune to "instant death" spells\dark magic (that immunity was stated in SMT:Nocturne, which, while isn't directly canon to DMC series, is sort of a "Capcom-approved" fanfiction for DMC2 and the stats&powerset of Dante used there are the same as the ones from DMC2- Atlus designers consulted Capcom on that) , so Tarot\Implode\Blood Gout\Blood Shower most probably won't work on him.
its not but it cannot be proved, what can be proved is that Dante is extremely weak by touching it for several seconds...and it gives him power, sadly the Reaver A: is likely to blast dante into halves if implaled through him, if not causing an incredibly wound at the same time as causing that weakened effect if its disregarded that the reaver would be stronger.
10 minutes with infnite Devil energies that the orb gives, and in gameplay
no one apart from the developes decide what line of magic/powers the blood gout and soul death lists in....simply putting dark magic over them is unfair to them since they are never stated as such, for example in another game Soul death could be called "spirit" magic..in which case is not dark...at the same time blood gout is "blood magic"...in another could be using Dark energy as a weapon is only named dark magic, not all spells of necromacy/blood

The immunity of Dante to "instant death" spells (which are Kain's Tarot & Implode) was officially stated. As for Bllod Gout\Blood Shower...a vampire tried to suck Dante's blood in second (IIRC) chapter of DMC3 canon manga, and failed (it did hardly anything to Dante).
Also high demonic aura (which comes with unlockable DT) is canon (see Dante awakening his high demonic power before first fight with Mundus in DMC1), and DT limitations are gameplay for the most part (regarding Dante being in his human form in most cutscenes it most probably CIS given Dante's attitude towards demons, and that also shows that he can endure the attacks of most bosses even in his human form).
Though those blood-draining spells (assuming they connect since blood magic belongs to dark/demonic magic according to some classifications (in DMC3 vampires and demons are connected, so vampiric magic in DMCverse is close to demonic magic to which Dante is proven to be immune)) would definetely weaken Dante for a couple of seconds.
DMC4- new Devil Arms
In DMC 4, Dante shows off a new Devil Arm- a Gilgamesh set of gauntlets&greaves. In combat they are a bit like Beowulf/Ifrit, but have a new aspect- in fact, that's Witchblade-style shapeshifting weapon, which can turn into sort of body armour (including facial mask) when Swordmaster style is used, which can be seen in trailer posted a few pages ago.
In terms of elements Gilgamesh gauntlets are going combine the ones of Beowulf and Ifrit, using both light and fire elements (according to some sourses, which might or might not be final decision of the developers). It's going to be cool in game.
Dante's default sword in 4th game is going to be Rebellion. I hope than more information on new Devil Arms for Dante will be announced soon.
it sounds great this DMC 4, however the dispointment to me is that its going ot be on PS 3 isnt it whch i wont be getting so ill have to just hear about how good it is Although, they made a PC version of DMC 3 and made it special edition, it came out before the ps2 special editon i think, but regardless mayve ill be in luck
