Amy Redford To Make 'The Guitar' Debut

Amy Redford is making her feature directing debut on "The Guitar," an indie film just getting under way in New York.
Amos Poe's script concerns the transformation of a woman after she is diagnosed with terminal cancer, fired from her thankless job and abandoned by her boyfriend. Given two months to live, she blows her savings and maxes out her credit cards to pursue her dreams, which include romance and learning to play the electric guitar.

That sounds cool. I think movies where someone dies of a terminal disease get held close to certain people, in their hearts, because they may know someone who's gone through the same thing or something similar.
