Synopsis: Morty Fineman, a brilliant, if egotistical, independent film producer, has a big cash flow problem: his production company, Fineman Films, is about to go under, and he needs a creative solution to raise money. Morty seeks the help of his estranged daughter, Paloma, hoping her energy and resiliance will stabilize his business. Paloma is somewhat successful, brokering a deal with an imprisoned serial killer who's willing to sell the rights to his life story. There's only one catch. Morty has to film it as a musical. Meanwhile, a loyal assistant tries to get a film festival hosted by a small Nevada town to sponsor a Fineman Films retrospective. The laughs keep rolling as Morty realizes the fate of Fineman Films.
