This is my favorite book but the actresses chosen to portray the roles are completly wrong. i see the mum as an older woman as she only had the youngest daughter once she found out the older one was ill so there would be a bigger age gap between all of the characters than there will be. I also dont think it is right to lower the ages of the girls as a girl of that age wouldn't have the guts to say this is wrong and to take her parents to court. i think that cameron diaz and the fanning sisters are completly wrong for this role and they should recast the move.

I agree. It would seem more appropriate for Joan Cusack to play the role of the mother. And Alec Baldwin as the lawyer?? I really like him but I see Campbell A. as a much younger man. The girls should def. be older. Even the new casting seems wrong, though I am a big fan of Abigail Breslin.
