Brendan Fraser On 'Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor'

Brendan Fraser, who reprises his role as adventurer Rick O'Connell in the upcoming action film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, told reporters that he missed his former co-star Rachel Weisz, who did not return for the sequel.

"I felt Rachel's absence when I read the screenplay the first time, I will cop to that," Fraser said in a group interview this week in Beverly Hills, Calif. "We were partners. We were colleagues. We were friends, and I couldn't read the screenplay and not think about hearing her say it this way or that way. We had that chemistry."

I totally agree that they had good chemistry. All the people in the first movie had good chemistry.

I completely agree that Rachel Weisz was better suited as Evy and that they both had great chemistry together. I just can't believe that she didn't want to do the third film.

I miss Rachel Weisz, she played an important part in the film. The chemistry is missing! Go back to old cast. Movie is just ok not as good as the first two!

I paid $5.99 from DirecTV. I've only been watching it for 20 minutes and I think I got ripped off for $5.99. This movie sucks worse than a black hole. Rachel Weisz definitely would've made this crap-fest better but there's only so much that can be done when the script just sucks. Hugh Grant would've made a better Evelyn than Maria Bello. At least his accent is real.

The movie just seemed too over the top on some things. I think i will just stick to the first 2 Mummy movies.

Yeah Rachel should have done the third one. I liked her and I hate when they change the actors or the actors themselves dont come back cause it changes the movies. The first two were the best. Maria Bello is good in other rolls but no one could have stood in Rachels shoes for the Mummy

Rachel Weisz is an ACTRESS now, didn't care about the fans. All high and mighty.

Nor the fact that if she wasnt in 1&2 she'd till be blowing in the car park for a living. She blows.
