Why is a movie about girls in the midwest starring a cast full of men, African-Americans, and almost porn stars? We barely knew of a person of color in all of Clay County the 90's, yet alone star 4 of them in the movie...I just don't get it! Where are the actresses to play the girls...the real stars of the film?

I saw what was supposed to be the first 30 pages of the script, this was more fairy tale, than fact. Jim Browns son as a shooting coach, a hotel in Deweese, Indian protestors in the street, come on this is a joke, if you are going to make a movie about the girls, then make it at least somewhat factual. The really stupid part is that one of the people that started this project is a Sandy Creek graduate. Gues he does not remember where he came from. To much Callifornia sun????

This is growing to be an even bigger joke than it was before. Is Ninemire going to be played by a Black man? Deweese is lucky to have 2 intersections and a Stop sign let alone a hotel. This story could have been so inspirational, it could have been a sweetheart story about a bunch of great girls who loved their sport. Now it sounds like it is going to be a gigantic farce. My apologies to the girls who were members of the Championship teams, sorry they are destroying your memories.

The guy that brought this to light, as you say is a SC graduate and is doing the school and surrounding communities a blessing by getting this going, I assume that all you posting negative comments are all the losers of SC that had to ride the bench, or were not even coordinated enuff to tie your shoes! STFU if you have nothing good to say.

I know for a fact you have not saw the first 30 pages of the script, the first 30 pages are not even done yet, as of this date. There are only 2 people to see the script, and your not one of them.

Yeah this is a total joke, this film, if you can even call it that will never happen. Craig, the local guy you all are talking about, the one who has gotten to much sun, is misleading everyone about this film "comedy" or what have you. This guy Craig is a total backstabber, user, and is nothing but bogus, a total fake, fraud and a foney, you all will see in the future.

NE don't give back money for shooting film thanks to Iowa. We may want to thank Iowa for doing that, you may have done everyone a favor and stopped this film from being made, a blessing in disguise. Hoosiers been done. Thank you no one cares

there is another guy making films to from the same area as the guy making the sc film. his name is Loni, doing his film on a guy named Lew hunter. that guy Lew asked Loni to do his story and heard it is good but from what i know that Loni guy to is a douche bag. i hate film makers

This Ski Patrol is the only douchebag,obviously an uneducated idiot, the guy can't even type! Before you speak you should at least know how to spell the people you speak of, and from what you know of Lonnie, how do you know him and have you ever spoke to him and what makes him a d-bag??

Well as several of us have said...Lonnie and Craig are all talk and no show. Neither film has ever been completed and it is now almost 3 years later. Lonnie and Craiggie were in the school one day filming and all they filmed was pics of the pics of the championship teams hanging on the walls. Wow real entertainment there, live video of still photographs, cinematic genius.

And the other genius Ninemire, well he would have never been a Championship coach if it hadn't been for the awesome girls he had...remember the name of the title. He coaches football too...and they suck, good athletes, same coach. Hell, he couldn't get 20 boys to even play football for him about 5 years ago cause nobody can stand him.

If you want to know the truth, you want to hear a good story...sit down an talk to one of the athletes share their memories. Now those girls...they were and are the ones with the real talent! Thanks to some great youth programs, supportive parents and playing together from elementary and a forgotten JrHi Coach.

Coach Bob Rose...who taught the BASICS...they LOVE for the game. Not a win at all cost type of attitude, but how to dribble and how to pass and how to shoot. 10 years before the girls were so amazing the boys were too. They had numerous years at the state tournament. Not as many titles, but then there was always that rivalry with Sutton. The Magnificent Seven, now there were some athletes that could play ball and by the way....same Jr Hi coach. Coincident...probably not. Lots of people aren't a big fan of Mr. Rose, but he did care about all of the kids.

What about that Sutton rivalry...isn't it amazing that the same time either of the Sandy Creek teams were going to state most of the time...so was Sutton. Maybe that's the real story...the rivalry of these two small town schools. State play-off games that were played during the season to sold out school gymnasiums during the middle of a blizzard...SC vs Sutton 1989 - Magnificent Seven vs the Spearman Boys. You are only as good as who you play!

And Deweese might have had a hotel back in the day when the elephant took a dip in the mill pond, but none of those girls were even a sparkle in their daddy's eyes when that happened, so why?

There is a lot of good story lines in the real story...they don't need to make up junk about Indian riots and using a shooting coach. The real story is exciting in itself. You need to find out about the girls who left and came out of the closets cause they couldn't do that here, living lies and hiding secrets or the boys that died because they couldn't live up to the pressure of being "Champions".

So Cougar Booster...guess you don't know as much as you thought or don't care to tell the whole story. There is a story here...a hell of a story...just needs the right person to tell it.
