Synopsis: Now in retirement a handful of terrorists, who today are elderly men, recount their experiences as illegal refugees--Jews fleeing Nazi-occupied Easten Europe. Living in Paris, they were desperate young men with nothing left to lose. As "French" Resistance fighters they carried out the most dangerous assignments, assassinating Nazi's on the metro or in the streets. Jockeying for political power with General de Gaulle, the official Resistance found men with names like Metzflicker, Weissberg and Kojitski insufficiently French Communist Party allowed many of them to be turned over to the Nazi's in the late 1943. Forty years later Simone Signoret helped Boucault make the film and she confronted French TV in their efforts to bury the truth yet again.
