Synopsis: Driver plays a journalist investigating the real-life murders of young women in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, that have made international headlines, while Talancon plays the title role of Mariela, the virgin of Juarez. Driver's character meets Mariela, a survivor of a vicious attack whose mysterious weeping wounds are the catalyst for the drama that unfolds and the hunt for the killer.
