Synopsis: Remake the 1975 film. The original followed a man who returns to Japan after a lengthy absence to rescue a friend's kidnapped daughter, ensuing in samurai swords slashing and guns blazing. The new version will be set in contemporary times and also will reflect a more multiethnic Japan.
