January Jones ("Bandits") has nabbed a role in "American Wedding," the third installment of Universal Pictures' successful "American Pie" franchise, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Jones joins Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Eugene Levy and Alyson Hannigan in the Jesse Dylan-directed film, which was written by Adam Herz

Production on the film is scheduled to start in early January for an August release.

Although the log line is being kept under wraps, Jones is known to be playing Hannigan's sister and the love interest to Scott's character.
