'Meatballs' Duo In Talks For 'Bob The Musical'

Bob: The Musical
Phil Lord and Chris Miller may end up singing for their supper. The Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs co-writer-directors are in talks with Disney to develop and direct the comedy Bob the Musical. If they end up making their deals, Miller and Lord will have to work around directing Sony’s live-action feature revamp of 21 Jump Street, which is tentatively looking at a spring shoot with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum starring.

Bob follows a regular guy who, after a blow to the head, suddenly can hear the inner songs of everyone’s hearts as his reality is instantly turned into a musical, much to his dismay. Marc Shaiman, who composed the original music for Hairspray, is writing the music and lyrics for Bob.
