Heath Ledger has signed on to topline Walt Disney Co. period tale
Casanova, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is to be directed by Lasse Hallstrom (
Cider House Rules) which is a romantic comedy about the legendary Casanova and his pursuit of the one woman in Venice who doesn't fall prey to his charm.
Casanova has its shooting set to start in August in Venice, Italy.
