Floyd are arguably the greatest rock group in the history of popular music.

Music and lyrics that were innovative, emotional and thoughtful, a genius frontman, very talented and able musicians, experimental (in everything from the writing to the marketing), and adaptable with the times (psychedelia - punk - disco - hard rock).

Plus, they have a a shoe-in album for one of the greatest of all-time (DSOTM), and a band history that's now a thing of lore.

The whole package...

That's the sort of attitude people have toward Radiohead, more deservedly, and that you called Radiohead overrated for.

But then again it's Pink Floyd, so you just have to say that. It's the rock credibility hobby kit isn't it? "I love Pink Floyd, think they were the best ever and love Dark Side...".

I think you fail to recognise that antiquity and reputation does not equate to greater talent.

It's taboo to say bands like Radiohead are better than Pink Floyd, but why? Because Floyd are Floyd? I don't think they're anywhere close because I'm not jaded by band reps.

I don't have a grudge against Pink Floyd, I don't even dislike them, so where you got the "crazy grudge" thing from is beyond me.

It's crazy, though, right? Someone who doesn't mind Pink Floyd, but doesn't tongue their collective orifice. It's a radical concept, but grapple with it for a while.

Someone might...just...like them, without thinking they are anything special.
