Not really. Rogue was a villain in that time. She was part of the Brotherhood then and Mystique ordered her to go after Ms Marvel to steal her powers and Ms Marvel was rescued by Spiderwoman when she was thrown of a bridge.

Ah ok. But for Rogue to get her powers in the movie she has to be bad. Or maybe an accident but nobody touches someone for a large period of time by accident!

yeah! Good point kes! But in the old cartoon (TAS), rogue can't control her powers. She tried to release Ms. Marvel, but she can't. They can make the same thing in the film.

When in the movie its just touch...she can stop when ever she wants.
And she would have to touch her for quite sometime. Remember the scene with Pyro? She kept touching him to use is power.

New rumour: the producer Lauren Donner said the base of script is wolverine, it means: no for rogue's story, no for Miss Marvel, no for gambit... I am sick of this. They should change the movie's name to WOLVERINE AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS
