Yeah, they did a great job, without computer animation even. And they play the entire song, 'I see a black moon rising', by Creedance Clearwater, right before he changes. Classic.

yeah...you're right about the song....i got it confused with another one..........werewolf is a great movie.....i take great make up effects over cgi any day

Yeah, the transformation scene was GREAT! Especially when he says, "I didn't mean to call you meatloaf Jack!"
