Love does hurt, true love does anyhow, the slightest wrong remark can hurt even by mistake but it still hurts for a short while if you are truly madly in love. Forgetting a date can really hurt. When someone you love is upset or unhappy that hurts lots too, the Assistant director is right love hurts.
We can also make wrong choices, which in the end makes love hurt. I think that everyone can agree that at one point in their life, they have had their heart broken.
