Its not a Kestrel, its a Peregrine Falcon.

I think he has it as a bit of a piss-take about Northerners and the fact that its quite traditional to own a bird of prey up there, much like the fact that a lot people in the black country still keep working ponies.

Either way, it cracks me up. 😉
