I'm tired of all the retardation going on in this thread about Bruce Lee.
Lets look at the facts and find out what makes him so great.
Some people say he could punch through phonebooks and do a one-inch punch and knock someone back 20 feet. Fact: there is videotape footage of him demonstrating his 1-inch punch at a karate tournament. He has a guy standing flat-footed with a chair about 5 feet behind him. He hits the guy and the guy falls back into the chair. Big deal. I could head-butt, knee, elbow, punch, or kick someone that far and I have before.

I just have to comment on it, I realize it is like 4 years old, but I don't want people getting the wrong idea about Bruce Lee.
So this is my first post in which I say something serious. Prepare yourself.
He said that Bruce Lee holding his hand 1 inch away from a 250 pound karate master and sending him flying 5 feet backwards and falling over a chair is no big deal. How?
Then he says he could headbutt, kick or elbow someone and have the same effect. So he can hold his head, foot or elbow 1 inch away from a 250 pound martial artist, and completely floor him. Yeah. I'm sure he can.
How could he say Bruce Lee was anything but great? The man was so fast that when he was being taped fighting for his movies they'd have to tell him to slow down, then even after that they'd still have to slow him down with computers.
He kicked a 300 pound sandbag and sent it flying into the ceiling, kicked a man and sent him flying through a door (when he got to the hospital, the doctors thought he had been in a car accident).
Bruce Lee was a beast. Don't try to deny it.
