I think a person downloading music he likes from some record label should be considered compensation for having to hear and see all the advertisements and shit music they impose on his eyes and ears.

So a guy has to hear Lady Gaga in a store - guess what, record company? you owe him a couple Led Zeppelin tracks, at minimum.
