I wish ST 2 and 3 had lived up to the excellence of 1

Never watched ST3, but Rico's performance in the first was breathtaking.

When he yelled "you wanna live forever!" to spurn his troops into battle, Russel Crowe's speech in Gladiator seemed sophomoric by comparison.
