U cant cover up for a fail reference by saying that because two lines before he said he was brainless that means his fail reference isnt fail anymore. That makes no sense whatsoever. And when he says hes mouthless you jump all the way to "dumb". U just made ur own fail happen right there.
No dude, I didn't make that up. That's what it means. The song is called "Dumb it Down".
If you have no mouth, then you can't speak. If you can't speak, you're dumb. He's also dumb because he's brainless, which is why he said Icabod Crane has no head.
He's mouthless to fans who listen to Lil Wayne and all that shit, because they never hear him because all they listen to is the fake shit on the radio. He's not played on the radio. How does this not make sense? This whole song is about shitty rappers who get more recognition than him. The message behind the song is that he won't dumb down his lyrics to get more popular.

It's happened before. I said I was an Eminem fan before, suddenly everybody was telling me how bad Eminem sucked. I'm probably the only one in the OTF who knows what it takes to be a good MC, and it's not just because you like him or don't like him, it's more complex than that. Eminem is the most talented in every area IMO.

I think your getting too worked up over this nonsense..... and i assure you its nonsense. Its like Jim Carry always finding the number 23 everywhere. If you look for order in chaos hard enough, youll find it.

I'm not making these explanations up. That's what they MEAN. Why is that so hard to believe? It makes perfect sense and goes along with the theme of the song. Lupe Fiasco is known for having VERY complex lyrics like this.
That link I showed you had all of the lyrics explained.
I've heard more complex stuff than this before and understood it after a couple listens, such as "Infinite" by Eminem.

Complex and Meaningful are two very different things mafriend.
This song does mean something. I already said it, it's about how Lupe refuses to dumb down his lyrics to gain popularity.
Look at Lil Wayne, very simplistic lyrics, very popular. People can understand him, so they like his music and confuse it for being "good".
Look at Lupe Fiasco, very complex lyrics, not popular. If Lupe decided to dumb down his lyrics and rap like Lil Wayne, he would gain popularity. He won't do it because he cares to much about true hip hop.
A lot of people who listen to Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy would NEVER understand Lupe Fiasco, so he's not that famous because of that.
