The only advantage to buying novels rather than borrowing them for free at the library is that you can wear them out, and god to I wear out books. All of my softcover novels have a ****ed up book-spine, and some even miss pages because of the ****ed up spines.

To be fair I've never read a novel more than once. The only books I do read more than once are course related literature, and even then I'm primarily looking up examples or terminology. The only advantage to buying novels rather than borrowing them for free at the library is that you can wear them out, and god to I wear out books. I intend to have my own library one day. I do re-read books over though. I also find that reading a good old fashioned book helps relieve stress. I want my son to have easy access to books as well. Many reasons to have books readily available for him.
