Granted when battling Elder Gods, Cube Beings, Universal, Multiversal, and Omniversal Omnipotent beings Superman would have to go to a stellar nursery and bathe in a half-formed blue sun until it forms into a blue sun in about 1,000 years, then he'd have to focus his powers into Cube Being level, to become omnipotent he'd need to do that with every star in the cosmos, for multiversal power he'd need to traverse the time stream collecting multiple universes full of new-born stellar sunlight - to the point where he can soak up and advance the aging of stars to fuel his cosmic powers. Eventually him doing this would cause entropy in several universes throughout the time stream.
Point in case Superman could kill God if he put his mind to it and amped himself radically enough.

5,000 years of yellow sunlight is nothing compared 5,000 years of blue sunlight.
Superman was stronger in a Blue Star's system than he was after going INSIDE a Yellow Star for a few moments. Imagine being inside every Blue Star in the cosmos, and actually being able to take more than it emits and absorb so much light that he advances the aging of the stars, he could consume a million blue suns in an instant.
