I saw my friend tony from 6 years ago..we were close, he even hinted he wanted a relationship. He went on vacation and disappeared and I never heard from him again. I must have left so many messages and phoned so many times before I figured he must have found someone.
Today I saw him and he looked so unfamiliar to me that I had to look a few times to make sure it was him. I use to call him tony the tiger because he had a slim waist and a large muscle body... and a hairy chest. He was none of that now, he had lost all muscle mass and was down to a stick.
His face looked aged and his hair was thinning. It took me a while to realize he had gotten sick...out of all the gay men I knew tony was the safeist to use condoms. He was always making sure he had on a plastic and he was into making good eating habits...including making shakes. I always thought he had gotten married and found happiness. I didnt say hi, i could see he didnt want to either..he ran away before i could talk to him. I wonder what would have happend if he would have chosen me instead of the other guy?
