We rarely ever get the full hurricane. So when something is close to us it's just the usual higher wind speeds and lots of rain. I can't remember the last time we had a direct hit.

Weather systems are going to get more violent in the next few years due to global warming (so I've read) the chances of a superstrong hurricane becomes greater.

Not sure on the exact science, but it sounds about right.

I'll keep you updated with our weather from the other side, amigo. So far so good, but if we got something coming our way, I'll let you know all the deets.

I've seen some snow here in Florida, but nothing crazy. I've never seen snow on the grounds, or had the chance to experience it while traveling, unfortunately.

Visit scenic Sandpoint Idaho, that one winter I lived there it snowed 4 days straight!

They have a really posh ski lodge type place, very swank, you could ride out an Ice Age in there in style.
