Watching star trek reruns

S3 episode 16. Prophet Motive

Because of ST:TNG I can't appreciate original Trek as much as I used to.

I used to watch reruns of ST every day after school back in '76, I thought it was the most awesome thing on TV... at the time.

Still is. The new Star trek show kinda wrecked the storyline by saying the federation isn't as admirable as it use to be. So I doubt the series will survive in the future.

It's like the Simpsons. They could finally let bart and lisa become teenagers but that would wreck the whole formula.

Star Trek: Discovery doesn't exist, it's like the new Star Trek movies, an alternate timeline. One of these days when he gets off his lazy ass, Q will fix everything.

Speaking of that subject, my Mom's sister had a stroke and fell and bashed her head the other day, just got the call that she's got no more brain activity they unplugged everything, so that's that. The speed at which someone can go from a functioning person all chill and doing their thing to being a vegetable is insanity man, just the weirdest fvcking thing in the world.
