Why Elden Ring is hyped up like the second coming.

Why Prey wasn't.

Wasn't all that long ago that System Shock 2 and Deus Ex were considered the pinnacle of gaming. Fanboys hate on Bioshock because they felt it was a step back from System Shock.

Elden Ring seems ok, but what does it do that's above average, really? It's another fantasy rpg in a sea of rpg's, doing soulsborne gameplay in an ocean of Soulsborne. I can play a lot of games that do that, but there simply aren't many games that do what Prey does at all, let alone as well.

Don't get it.
