They probably just get a new VA, they replaced Peter Cullen on Optimus Prime with a non union VA, no one is irreplaceable these days.

Transformers has been done time and time again. Most of these voice actors get diddly squat. Theres a writers strike right now, so I can only assume all departments are negotiating

Would explain how Megas XLR could afford Peter Cullen AND Frank Welker, yet were using public domain sound effects (Probably need to pay out more for the licensing fees then the actors)

It's a guild organization that handles that, they are all unionized. You cant get into the industry without knowing someone. Plus you have to collect credits in order to be promoted into another section, which elevates you up to a better position.
