So I think I pissed a bunch of co-workers off.
You know how some people take offense if you're not friendly, and especially if you don't say hi every single time you see them? I do those things.
Nothing personal, I just feel awkward acting like I haven't seen someone in weeks when I see them every day. And frankly I'm more of an introvert.
Should I start looking over my shoulder and carrying around a defensive weapon?

I didn't talk to my co-workers because they don't matter, you're there to do a job, not socialize. When my boss came around he'd see a clump of workers all chatting and then there's me doing my job, who do you think is going to get promoted... exactly, the bosses kid. Motherfcker!

Just find the gossipy bunch and make friends
Unfortunately my friends either started doing other shifts or transferred to other towns.
For the most part I get along fine with the rest, except for the two on my shift. One is a neurotic upward climber who used to work here before leaving the state to chase a dream with a cousin, failed miserably, came back disillusioned, and now is wondering if he is on track for upper management or a lunatic asylum. And the other guy is a provocateur POS .
I just keep telling myself to stay cool, in this day and age I think post George Floyd law enforcement and prosecutors are actively looking for white people to prosecute to the full extent of the law so they can say "You see? We aren't racist, we put all these white guys away now!"

If you would have just posted the first part and then forgotten the racism in the second part it would have been fine, instead now we have to point out to you this is why you get shit on here, that bit right there that's what makes you shark bait. Get your mind right and forget about Liberal/Conservative buzz words and agendas/narratives. Out in the real world people don't give two tenths of a rat ball about political views.

I see what you're saying, and I will be the first to admit that My Views aren't exactly kosher. When I do gripe it's only because of the things I see or the things I have experienced in my personal life. For example we could not get aid for my grandfather when he was disabled, and the government worker told us flat out if he wasn't a white guy would be able to help him, but all the help is earmarked for minorities. We were told this with a straight face.
The fact is there is definitely a lot of give and take where people get screwed either because of their skin color or because they don't have a certain skin color that is just a fact in america. But I do agree with you that I probably shouldn't be talking out of my ass about it with unrelated stuff.
