There definitely some negligence on the parents part.

If the girl survives she's going to have lifelong medical problems.

The boy is going to need therapy for at least 10-15 years.

This kind of thing is fvcking life altering for the entire family.

I have some firearms, never made me feel anything other than vigilant that they were locked away unloaded and nicely oiled.

That does count, guns run out of bullets but a knife is good as long as it's sharp.

I had a boot knife all through school and never not once pulled it and went insane.

But it was vital out in the fields when you had to cut a hay clog out of the baler.
