Well he's not the first kid shot by cops. The last kid to be shot by a cop was much younger and playing in an alley way before a cop shot him to death.

Cops don't police the law, they're population control.
Specifically the part of the population that is the most criminal.
They're taking potential gang bangers out of the equation.
We must allow them to do their duty in order for a more
peaceful society sometime in the future.
