The quickest way a rich person goes to being a poor person is by giving money away.

Really wealthy people have that generational money that makes them more money and unless their kids are retards benefits them too.

I found out my mother gave a large sum to my brother. Not only did my mother help with his wedding but she helped him on his honeymoon. And now she just gave him a couple thousands.

Mind you she's never given me a cent. When it comes to giving back money I am always providing my dad with whatever he needs because in the past he's given me money as a teenager. Even when I moved out for the first time, he helped me out.

And I've given him money back to ease the pressure. So if I were to win the lottery I'd probably give him something. Then be stingy with everyone else.

Charities are like setting money on fire, it just gets consumed.

Investments allow money to return and in greater numbers.

Who would you give money

I keep thinking of that young guy who won 1 billion dollars from Florida

I wouldn't. When you give someone money it becomes theirs and you no longer have a say in how it's spent, so if someone spends it on something stupid you get to sit there looking dumb.

True but you wouldn't give your family money if you won the lottery?

Let's say 80 million

They can come to me Godfather style and ask for something, if it's worthy I would buy it for them, call it an investment and a bonus would be they would be on the hook for me.

Think I'm harsh? I had to learn the hard way on handling money.

I was the dumbass that bought one of my eXs a car, another one a computer setup,
so you could say my priorities shifted a bit.

I'm assuming only immediate family

That's dumb but I've been there..So my ex ex ex cheated on me. And let's say on my way out I broke everything that I payed for 😂

All those times I should have gone to jail 😂

An emotional response but understandable.

Just have a limite as to how much you will spend on someone. My limit is usually $20 to $50. If it's family then it's $100. Depends on the event.

I'm super cheap so I don't give things without getting something in return. Doesn't necessarily have to be money

I also generally don't like mixing money with friendship. It has to be a small amount

How do you feel about doing non-monetary favors that cost time or mental energy?

episodic. That's a good question Rodger, let me just take a sip of my cup of tea.

Sure sure, take your time, engage the thinking helmet.
