Hamilton Slams 'T3'

Terminator beauty Linda Hamilton has slammed the forthcoming third installment of the futuristic robot thriller as 'soulless.' Hamilton, who was married to Terminator and T2 director James Cameron, refused to star in the latest update of the robot saga when she read the script. She says, "The script I saw just didn't have the soul that the others did and I didn't want to be part of it. Despite all the action of the first two Terminator movies, they were actually pretty high minded. There was a message about the human condition and Terminator 3 seems to have no regard for human life whatsoever."

Actress Linda Hamilton is reprizing her role as Sarah Connor for the latest Terminator sequel. The action movie's lead Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed the pretty brunette would be back to play the feisty mother to Arnie's cyborg assassin's target John, originally played by troubled star Edward Furlong, in T3. Arnold explains, "She is coming back, but as a past experience, not driving the current story forward. She's in flashbacks. I think director Jonathan Mostow felt like he didn't want to have the exact same cast and be limited in the story. Jonathan was very adamant that he wanted the kid now to be 22 or 23, the mother has died, and let's move on, let's have him be on his own, let's let him have a girlfriend."
I think she didn't do it cause she wasn't the main character basically. She wouldn't have done T2 unless she "took her character into a new direction". So obviously an actress with such little deals each year wants to be a big part of a big thing, and if she wouldn't have been anything in the movie she decided not to.
atlas alice, i'm glad you defend members of the original cast. If ahmilton wanted to be insoemthing big she would have flipped for t3 and the notion that she wouldn't have a big part in t3 in nonsense..why for the same reason that most fans missed michael biehn in t2. They liked the movie and acutally had him in flashbacks, but ultimately, it had to be cut. I think it would have helped t3 to show her either in flashbacks or int he time after t2, what happened and maybe her being assasinated after attempting to destroy the smelting plant. Linda hamilton has always chosen her movies carefully..the better actresses do. They don't just jump on whatever thr fans want. I have the most respect for thr orig term cast. Others should too. And the aliens shick was segourney weaver...she was hot in ghost busters and in heartbreakers.
JC is a genious even though he has women problems and this crew members that made t3 what it was. I think the cast members from 1 and 2 are plain and simple better actors and actresses. I'll hope for a biehn cameo in t4 along with asrah conner, all in flash backs. And nomatter what anybody says who would want to pass up seing arnold as an evil terminaor killiong john connor on last time...

yeah exactly what i feel to i am want to see the original terminator, as in CSM 101 t800 terminating humans, no more this good guy bs, no more talk to the hand etc, i want evil arnie choosing his 4 letter word response, F U ass hole etc. i know kyle reese should me a definte role but from ur pervious article dulobast biehn said he isnt gonna have anything to do with t4. Obviously its gonna be a new actor for that part. Honestly i cant imagine t4 without arnie, there would be no more original cast left, it would pretty much be a diffrent story for me anyways.
he was talking about t3, but he never sid he wouldn't do it without james camron, he said he wasn't involved and that he thinks highly of jc work and that he didn't think a followup to such an excellent movie with a good ending to the story especially without cameron would not be that great anyway. But to me, i wan to see evil relentless (highest causalty rate) arnold again. enough of the yeah, i have files on psyhology bull crap and the talk to the hand crap, yeah show us hands pulling out hearts and snapping spines and shooting human thru wall by tracking thier speed, direction and approximate height (police station). We need a future scenw where he wipes out an entire bunker etc. carnage..No more good arnie! we really need to see t-600's that look shhniey like the robots in AI. we need to see humans eating out of dumpsters. The fanchose need to bring back the grit, and th lack of concern for human life of a grass roots level. The last movei need to be a cult film, not a fil for the family of for the masses.
i would be cool if it was made for the fans and not to make new ones, of it was for the cult followers and not for ("action first"😉 people but for those who want more in the way of the human conditrion. who want a little get carter ass kicking and brutality along with some great titanic suffering and some great black hawk down and t3 action and some apcoliptic shit like "the day after" ans some war scens like pearl harbor. it just need to put the story line and ending the series not so much with a bang, but on a quality note. But that like asking the producers to walk away from a jackpot while change is still pouring out......they are going to stay until the last coin drops rather than walking away when they have had enough to get what they need or want or leaving some for others more unlucky..why would they since lkike a casino, they are there tomake money first and have fun second, not vise versa. So i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I even heard frddyvs jason sucked, but yet ans still, it's making money, jsut like jason x...which sucked,,but its' makingmoney,but its sucked..but it's makingmoney,,,etc
yeah thats the prob....terminator series has become a family franchise, when they make the movie oh gotta think about the kids kinda crap. I was watching t1 2 days ago after a long time, that scene when arnie breaks into sarah conners house and kills the roomates bf, u know he breaks thru what is left of the door, and its all slow mo...and u hear that 44 magnum go of ..pow pow pow...and arnie slowly walks towards her in slow mo...That is what the terminator is about...a cold killing machine, thats what made the movie a hit, the film style itself. The slow build up.... why cant they make it that way again..heck i could!
I say get Cameron to do T4 how he would percieve it. Screw Mostow he doesn't deserve a second chance. I'm sure no matter what Cameron would do with T4, it would turn out to be a good movie. Bad Arnold, good arnold, John being an actual leader, Kate getting rid of that ugly face when she fires guns (I have to admit, Danes is very beautiful, but God...when I saw that nose in that scene....ugh..lol), and I think he'd definitely put Biehn in there. Like I said, with our technology we could make him look the way he did back in T1. I'd love to see Kate at the battle station and John and Kyle duking it out with Terminators.
